NJ community welcomes Spring with cultural fest

South Brunswick, NJ: Indo-American Cultural Foundation of Central Jersey - IACFNJ held their second annual Spring Color and Cultural Festival on Sunday, April 29th at Reichler Park here. The event brought the community together to welcome spring after long winter months and to mark Indian festival of Holi. About 175 people attended this event despite low temperature. 

Middlesex County Freeholder Shanti Narra attended the event and congratulated IACFNJ team and all participants for their involvement in community and wished everyone Happy Holi. The talented kids of local dance group of Bina Master of Nrityakala Dance Academy and Meghana and Anupam Goradia’s Sangeet Madhuram performed some superbly choreographed cultural and Bollywood dances in colorful costumes which were highlight of the event. There was a raffle from New York Life Insurance Company and color play during the event. The live entertainment and traditional colorful Holi songs were played by DJ Darshan and talented singers from local group Hidden Gems.

The IACFNJ's dedicated and enthusiastic executive committee, trustees, committee members and volunteers worked hard to make this event a huge success.   

The upcoming events of IACFNJ will be summer picnic at Mercer County Park, West Picnic area on Sunday, July 1st from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and India Independence Day celebration on Sunday, August 19th at Swaminarayan Temple, old YMCA, 329 Culver Road in Monmouth Junction, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.  For further information about IACFNJ events and other activities visit organization website at or e-mail at
