SKRM's 31st free cataract camp in September

New York: September 2017 will mark the 31st Eye Cataract Camp organized by Sawan Kirpal Ruhani Mission (SKRM), Delhi as part of the Global Conference on Mysticism (13-20 September, 2017). Free eye cataract surgeries will be provided to patients who are otherwise not able to afford the expenses of such an operation.

The experts will include eye surgeons from the United States who volunteer their premier high quality technical skills and time to conduct the surgeries. The eye camps are conducted as part of both the International Human Unity Conference (held in February each year) and the Global Conference on Mysticism (held in September each year) organized by SKRM at Sant Darshan Singh Ji Dham, Burari. More than ten thousand individuals have benefited from free cataract surgeries since the launch of SKRM’s eye camp in February 2002.

Patients attending the eye camps are first screened by a medical team. Selected patients, based on medical eligibility, are then transported to ICARE hospital, Noida, where they undergo surgery with the help of state-of-the-art equipment, to remove the cataracts. All patients benefit from follow up visits and are prescribed eye drops for several weeks following the operation, so they can receive maximum benefit from the surgery.

This voluntary service to the community has had a significant impact to the vision and quality of patients’ lives.

The United States clinical team has worked in collaboration with doctors at ICARE hospital, one of India’s top eye hospitals. All services are rendered free of charge, and in a spirit of selfless service to humanity.
