7 films from Bengal have made the cut to Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2021. The festival begins in August second week and is likely to feature a wide array of 100 Indian Films (including shorts and features).
The films that have been selected from Bengal are Jharokh by Aneek Chaudhuri, Mayar Jonjaal by Indranil Roy Chowdhury, Abhijaan by Parambr
Jharokh by Aneek Chaudhuri is making a World Premiere at the festival and this 80-minute feature-length film talks about the topic of the desire to escape from daily life, and the dire need to do so. This is Aneek’s third fourth consecutive appearance at the film festival and he terms it to be an ‘endearing experience.’
Mayar Jonjal features Ritwick
Other acclaimed films that are a part of this festival are Laila aur Satt Geet, Biriyani, Nasir, Fire in the Mountains, Sthalpuran to name a few.
The festival commences on August 12 and stretches up to August 30 in its 12th year.
