A Power-packed week for Indo-US relations

Washington DC: A flurry of meetings in a power-packed schedule of Indian Defense Minister Rajnath Singh and External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar saw an expansion of cooperation between two countries ranging from Space and defense to trade and education this week in Washington DC.

Underlining the importance of the visit MEA S Jaishankar said on Tuesday that the India-US relationship has undergone a “real transformation” in the last two decades and a key driver of this partnership has been its human element. Jaishankar arrived in New York on Wednesday to meet United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres which was scheduled for Thursday.

Here are a few glimpses of the high profile visit of Singh and Jaishankar amidst war clouds over the world:

India-US Defense Cooperation further expanded and strengthened through the 2+2 Ministerial Meeting on April 11.
