In an unprecedented move, President Donald Trump has announced he is shutting down travel from Europe to the US as the coronavirus grew into a pandemic that he said called for an “unprecedented response”.
Announcing on Wednesday the 30-day ban on travel he said he would take action to offer financial assistance to those affected by the coronavirus pandemic in an effort to mitigate its impact. The travel restriction will not apply to U.S. permanent residents and will not affect travel from Britain.
