Anil Bansal to continue as FIA President in ’21

New Jersey: The Federation of Indian Associations (FIA) – Tristate held its virtual AGM on December 27 that was attended by representatives of many member organizations, community leaders and board of directors and trustees.

Parveen Bansal, General Secretary, presented his annual report which included a tribute to FIA’s Emeritus Chairman late Ramesh Patel. Ankur Vaidya took over as new Chairman.

While its flagship India Day Parade was called off due to the pandemic, FIA held a flag hoisting at Times Square on India’s Independence Day. FIA also provided assistance to first responders, held a Diwali Soup Kitchen Drive as well as OCI & Visa Town Hall, and started the Biweekly Diaspora newsletter.

President Anil Bansal and others in his executive will continue to serve in 2021.
