ATA celebrates Dussera in New Jersey

The American Telugu Association (ATA) celebrated Dussehra on a grand scale in New Jersey. A whopping 1000 people from all across New Jersey and neighboring states attended the program held at Royal Grand Manor, Edison, New Jersey on October 17th. 

A K Vijay Krishnan from Consulate of India in NY and ATA president Bhuvanesh Boojala were the chief guests at the event.  

Being the largest Dussera celebrations in the US post the covid pandemic, many people from all across the neighboring states attended the event. State recommended CDC covid guidelines were strictly implemented. Women and children were witnessed having a grand gala time enjoying the cultural programs, sumptuous food and the festivities. 

The event was very well organized by ATA under the stewardship of Raghuveer Reddy executive director, Vijay Kundur, joint treasurer & BOT’s Sharat Vemula, Srinivas Reddy Dargula, Ravinder Reddy Gudur, Parushuram Pinnapureddy. Everyone was appreciative of the efforts put in by NJ RC’s Praveen Ala, Pradeep Katta, Santosh Koram and the ladies team coordinated by ATA Women’s Committee Advisor Indira Sreeram Reddy.  

ATA President Bhuvanesh Boojala welcomed one and all to the ATA mega convention to be held in Washington DC from July 1-3, 2022. He requested all the Telugu people in the US to utilize ATA SEVA, an emergency services wing of ATA to help people in need.   

The event was well attended by community leaders from several organizations such as NATA represented by Rajesh Gangasani(Past President), BOT’s( Hari Velkur, Sharath Mandadi, Anjan Karnati, Anna Reddy), Srikanth Penumada, TANA represented by Laxmi Devineni, Janardhan Nimmalapudi, Raju Kasukurthi, Ratnasekhar Mulpuri,  Vamsi Vasireddy, Vidyadhar Garapati, Dhruva Chowdary, Srinivas Oruganti, Sree Chowdary, TTA represented by its president Mohan Patlolla, Convener Srinivas Ganagoni and Shiva Reddy, TFAS team and Kalabharathi team.
