Georgia: Atlanta Param Veers owned by Jayesh Patel & Seema Desai Patel launched a major initiative to help overall cricket in the US.
The inauguration of five cricket fields at the Param Veers Sports Complex in Cartersville took place with blessings of Bhagwan Swaminarayan and the pooja was performed by Pujya Yoginayandas Swami and Pujya Yagnanand Swami from BAPS Mandir, Atlanta.
For more than two decades, Atlanta Param Veers family sponsored and hosted several cricket related events in the Atlanta area. The dedicated fields to support cricket as well as youth cricket under Atlanta Param Veer youth cricket academy is a major help to increase participation and develop young cricketers in the area.
Five side by side cricket fields at the same facility are unique in the US and it does promise many future possibilities for the cricket development and competitive events.
Even during the coronavirus downtime during 2020, Atlanta Param Veers won the prestigious US Open Championship with the MVP & star performer of the tournament “The Boss” – Chris Gayle.
Atlanta Param Veers Owners Jayesh Patel & Seema Desai Patel expressed their happiness saying, “It’s a dream come true for all of us, as our vision is to help the game and provide all possible support to all players out there. Lack of local facilities was our biggest hurdle, even though the team made huge success by winning many championships over the last decade and won a major USA Open last year with the support of Chris Gayle. We believe our players can do well with our own facility in the local area. Our goal is to help the cricket fraternity and players by providing such a facility. We expect to host many events in future and hope this facility offers huge potential to develop the game in the US. We are also delighted with the visit of Iain Higgins, CEO, USA Cricket.”
