Austin:A unique four-day interactive theatrical production The Big Fat Indian Weddingwill run fromSept. 6 through 9at Mueller Lake Park in Austin, Texas bringing along experiential drama for audiences who can be part of it for a small fee.
Directed by Indian American director/actor/musician/entrepreneur Prakash Mohandas, the innovative concept will give an opportunity to attendees to be part of a Bollywood inspired theatrical extravaganza in an immersive site-specific production.
The scenic park, which houses a serene lake, will play the backdrop for the wedding-related ceremonies, starting with the traditional welcome, the baraat arrival, the mehndi ceremony, which will all culminate into a grand wedding ceremony, followed by scrumptious wedding food and a dance party.
The audience will get to enjoy the myriad ceremonies like a real wedding guest.
The family-friendly production takes audience through a cross-cultural extravagance with a diverse cast.
The Big Fat Indian Wedding follows the love story of Annabelle Taylor and Arjun Shah played by Margaret Rose and Sachin Kumar respectively. The dramaproduced by Agni Entertainment and Banskota Productions.
