Big B’s grandson to make acting debut with ‘The Archies’

Amitabh Bachchan tweeted about Agastya Nanda filming for The Archies, thus, ending all speculations on his grandson’s debut. The young star kid, who is Shweta Bachchan and Nikhil Nanda’s son, is all set to enter Bollywood with the Zoya Akhtar directorial.

The ‘Gully Boy’ director announced that the film has gone on floors, which is also rumored to be the big-screen debut of Shah Rukh Khan’s daughter Suhana Khan and Sridevi and Boney Kapoor’s daughter Khushi Kapoor.

The veteran star shared a fan tweet that showered Agastya Nanda with best wishes along with a picture of the clapperboard from the sets of the film as it went on the floors on April 18. Suhana, Agastya, and Khushi’s photos were also morphed into the clapperboard pic, thus, confirming that Suhana and Khushi, too, will be marking their debut with The Archies.

Neither the makers nor the star kids have revealed anything about the cast, but the trio’s viral pics from the sets of the film for a costume trial earlier in March hinted at their first big project.

The Netflix live-action musical is being co-produced by Reema Kagti under their production house Tiger Baby. Sharing the clapperboard pic on Insta, Zoya wrote, “Back To The Future,” and went on to add hashtags #thearchies #supercalifragilisticexpialidocious.

As per the latest reports, Suhana will be playing Veronica Lodge while Khushi is going to portray the role of Betty Cooper. Netflix partnered with Archie Comics for the film, which is set in the 1960s and will be loosely adapted to go with the Indian audience.
