As India celebrated 75 years of Independence, many Bollywood celebrities shared their pictures on social media with the national flag. The South Asian Times presents some of them:
AKSHAY KUMAR took to his Instagram handle and shared a monochrome picture of him holding a mini Indian flag. “Swatantrata ki keemat, itne balidaan dekar jaani hai. Let’s always cherish this freedom. Happy #IndependenceDay. #Indiaat75.”
VIJAY DEVERAKONDA shared a photo of himself with the national flag and wrote, “We are Indians!!! Happy. Proud. Free. Loving. Responsible. Happy Independence Day India.”
RAKUL PREET SINGH shared a picture of herself wearing a white outfit with the national flag in her hands. She captioned it, “75 years of independence of this glorious country. #harghartiranga Happy Independence Day to all of you all. Jai Hind.”
SONALI BENDRE celebrated Independence Day in Atlanta, US. Sharing pictures from the flag hoisting ceremony there, she wrote, “Took a little bit of home to Atlanta #HappyIndependenceDay.”
