DHUN Musical Group USA concert held at Indian Consulate

The Consulate General of India, New York hosted the community’s popular DHUN Musical Group, USA for an India Independence Day special musical concert on August 12, 2023. The singing event left the audience captivated and enchanted as it showcased an exceptional level of skills and talents. From the meticulous planning to the flawless execution, and an energetic audience contributed to its resounding success.  

The DHUN Musical Group, founded by Mr. Rajeev Singh, has been actively serving the community through musical performances for various organizations, fundraising events, and hosting musical events of its own. While doing so, in parallel, he also sincerely emphasizes the vision to find, develop and provide a platform to talents, particularly to the lesser known and bring quality entertainment from our community talents.   

The event was graced by the esteemed presence of the vice-consul Ms. Pragya Singh who was seen delightfully enjoying the rendition of patriotic singing. In her message, Ms. Singh thanked the team DHUN for presenting this special concert and reminded her that the successful concert it had on August 13, 2021, celebrating India’s 75th Independence Day, is still fresh in memory.  

The distinguished guest of honor of the event was Dr. Avinash Gupta, EVP, FIA – NY/NJ/CT, and the chairman of the Shri Siddhivinayak Temple USA, a well-known cardiologist and a popular social worker from the community. In his message, Dr. Gupta appreciated and thanked the honorable Consul General Randhir Jaiswal, diplomats, and staff of the consulate for their exceptional work in bringing the Indian community in the USA closer to the Indian government. He also appreciated and thanked Rajeev Singh for his exceptional work in promoting musical arts in our adopted land and providing a platform for talents. 

The event was also graced with several prominent community leaders and dignitaries including the chief trustee of the Shree Siddhivinayak temple USA, Dr. Geeta Gupta who is also a well-known doctor and social worker and the Bihar Foundation’s vice chairman Ranjeet Kumar. 

The talented singers of the team DHUN, Sandeep Singh, Amrisha Singh who was also the host of the event, Rajib Sarkar, Bhavisha Patel, Vasanti Anand, and Rajeev Singh himself mesmerized the audience with their melodious patriotic singing.  

The event was also supported by several well-known community organizations including FIA (Federation of Indian Association) NY/NJ/CT well known for holding the India Day parade in New York, Shree Siddhivinayak Temple USA, BJANA (Bihar Jharkhand Association of North America), BITSAANA (BIT Sindri Alumni Association of North America), IFM (India-US Forum of Monroe Township NJ), Bihar Foundation, and Lions International Club.
