Dilip Chauhan bags Patron for Planet Award 2022

New York: Dilip Chauhan, Deputy Commissioner for New York City Mayor’s Office for International Affairs was presented the Patron for Planet Award 2022 on September 24 at the 6th NYC Green School Conference -2022 at SUNY Maritime College New York.

63 other individuals and institutions were also presented the Green Awards to honor their efforts and Contributions toward sustainable and responsible education by Green Mentors, an India-based Responsible Education Solution Provider organization during the 6th NYC Green School Conference. The Conference was the first conference on Responsible Education in the U.S. held during the 77th session of the United Nations General Assembly.

“Buildings are the largest emitters of carbon, so we are investing in bringing renewable energy to them and making New York City a national leader in green buildings — creating tens of thousands of jobs for New Yorkers and delivering environmental justice for our city,” Dilip Chauhan said during his keynote address at the event.

Responsible education empowers Schools and Universities to accept accountability for the future of their pupils and responsibility for the local environment. The conference was associated with Climate Week NYC, the largest event on climate on the Planet. School leaders of India and the U.S. launched the Indo–American Green School Network at the conference.
