South Asians for Harris congratulates Governor Tim Walz of Minnesota on being chosen by Kamala Harris as the Democratic Vice Presidential Candidate.
Shivanthi Sathanandan, South Asians for Harris' National Director of Battleground States and the first woman of color and South Asian woman to serve as Second Vice Chair of Minnesota DFL Party, shared the following remarks:
“Minnesota has long known how lucky we are to have Governor Tim Walz. He’s been our hometown champion, fighting tirelessly for children, for working families, for the LGBTQ Community, and for every person in our state. Now we get to share him with the rest of our country, and with the world.
