Hicksville, NY – August 6, 2024 – The India Association of Long Island (IALI) has given over 1500 new T-shirts for needy kids just before the start of the school year. The project of IALI was led by Project Chair Mukesh Modi with President Pradeep Tandon and co-chaired by Shahi Goyal and Vinod Goyal.
The new T-shirts were given to Robers F. Eslick the founder and CEO of Kids helping Kids, Sunita Manjarekar, Director of Employment Programs for Nassau County Dept of Social Services, Zahid Syed, Executive Director of Community Affairs at Town of Hempstead and Prafulba Vaghela for the Suffolk County needy kids.
The event started by IALI secretary Dr. Neeru Bhambri humbly welcoming the guests and introducing the executive committee. IALI president Pradeep Tandon mentioned that this initiative embodies the spirit of community, generosity, and care. Every child deserves to feel valued and supported, and today, we are taking a small but significant step toward that goal. These T-shirts symbolize our commitment to ensuring that every child feels seen and cared for.
President Pradeep Tandon also remarked, "I want to extend my heartfelt appreciation to Mukesh ji for his incredible efforts in organizing this project. Mukesh Modi gave a shout out for Sushma ji Loomba, she was very helpful in raising the fund with her help IALI could donate more T. Shirts for needy kids. The giveaway benefitted organizations, ensuring that needy children from different areas can benefit from this initiative. This project highlights IALI's dedication to community engagement, cultural celebration, and social responsibility. By distributing these T-shirts, IALI hopes to not only provide a useful item but also to inspire a sense of belonging and community pride."
Robert F Eslick, founder of Kids helping Kids, said these T-shirts will be used for fall for all the needy children. He has distributed more than a million apparels to needy kids. Robert thanked IALI for this amazing event.
Sunita Manjarekar, Director of Employment Programs for Nassau County Dept of Social Services mentioned there are 1500 families who are homeless in Nassau County. She thanked IALI for T-shirts and said these T-shirts will be given to foster care kids and the kids who live in shelter.
The event where the T-shirts were handed out was attended by Robert F Eslick with founder of Kids helping Kids and his partner Bill, Sunita Manjarekar, Director of Employment Programs for Nassau County Dept of Social Services and Prafulba Vaghela from Suffolk County. Others who attended were Vice President Sushil Khanna, Treasurer Anjana Kashyap and many members of IALI with some community guests.
