A major Indian-American English Weekly has endorsed Vice President Kamala Harris for President and Minnesota Governor Tim Walz for Vice President.
The Indian Panorama, which has been in publication since 2006, published the endorsement on the front page of its August 20, 2024 edition, which is the first of a kind by any Indian American publication in the US.
Earlier, The Indian Panorama had endorsed John Liu for Comptroller of New York City, Melinda Katz for Queens County District Attorney, and Tom Suozzi for the US Congress who all had won.
The Indian Panorama's endorsement of Harris and Walz speaks of the two as the best bet for Americans, given the situation of the country which is unfortunately sought to be divided by those who are opposed to the present administration of the Democratic Party.
Without going into the negative politics of the Republican Party candidates, the newspaper has sought to come up with an argument in favor of Kamala Harris and Tim Waltz, describing their strengths, what they are capable of doing, and how they can bring about unity among Americans, and create conditions in which America will continue to follow on the path of growth and development, and happiness of all Americans.
The two – Harris and Walz, the endorsement says, will work for an America, which will be leading the world as it has been known to, and ensure America stays the strongest country and be an example of the shining democracy that it has been.
