Even as fans eagerly await Kangana Ranaut's film, the actor-politician announced her new project 'Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata', which is a cinematic tribute to unsung heroes.
The release of actor-politician Kangana Ranaut's 'Emergency' was recently postponed. The film was facing criticism from various Sikh organizations and was not getting a green signal from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC). Now, as per India Today, the film has received a U/A certificate from CBFC, with a few cuts.
Quoting a source, the report stated, “CBFC has asked filmmakers to give disclaimers on historical events depicted in the film.” However, the release date of the film has not been finalized yet. The U/A certificate implies that the film can be viewed by people from different age groups but with parental guidance.
Kangana is now hopeful of the film being released in the "next 10 days". The film was submitted for review on July 8 to the board. However, it got pushed from the September 6 release due to the delay in the clearance of the film. A biographical political thriller, the film delves into the life of former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, who imposed a 21-month emergency period from 1975 to 1977.
Amidst all this, Kangana has announced her next project ‘Bharat Bhhagya Viddhaata'. Directed and written by filmmaker Manoj Tapadia, the film aims to spotlight the invaluable contributions of these everyday individuals who work tirelessly behind the scenes.
