New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) chief Arvind Kejriwal has promised that he will eliminate unemployment in the national capital if his party comes to power for the third consecutive term. The AAP faces a tight contest from the BJP this polls.
In a video message, the former Delhi Chief Minister said that his focus is on employment. “I have worked in many areas including education, health, electricity, water and this work will continue. But in the next five years my priority will be to provide employment to the youth. My team is preparing a plan for this.”
Speaking about his government’s role, he claimed that the AAP government in Punjab, under the chief ministership of Arvind Kejriwal, provided 48,000 government jobs in less than two years and facilitated over three lakh private-sector jobs for youths.
“We know how to create employment and our intentions are honest. With people’s support, we will eliminate unemployment from Delhi in the next five years,” he asserted.
Polling for all 70 assembly seats in Delhi will be held on February 5, with votes to be counted on February 8.
