Superstar Shah Rukh Khan is reportedly traveling to the US for urgent eye surgery after things didn’t go as planned in Mumbai, reported Bollywood Hungama. He had gone to a hospital in Mumbai on July 29 for an eye treatment, which didn’t go as planned. The actor is now being rushed to the USA to rectify the damage," a source told the portal.
Khan was admitted to KD Hospital in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, a few months back after suffering heat stroke and dehydration. Actor Juhi Chawla, a close friend of Shah Rukh, and her husband Jay Mehta were seen leaving KD Hospital. The actor was in the city to cheer for his team KKR during the IPL tournament.
In 2014, Shah Rukh underwent minor eye surgery to correct his vision. Post-surgery, he took to his X to thank the doctor and wrote, "A big thank you to Dr Burjor Banaji & his lovely wife for doing my surgery. It's so good, that now I can read even between the lines."
Meanwhile, the Grevin Museum in France has honored the Bollywood megastar with customized gold coins. A paparazzi shared the update on Instagram with a photo of the coin featuring the actor's likeness. On the work front, Shah Rukh has reportedly started working on Sujoy Ghosh's next 'King' which will co-star Suhana Khan and Abhishek Bachchan. He has not yet made an official announcement about the project. The 'Dunki' actor is all set to be honored with the prestigious Pardo alla Carriera at the 77th edition of the Locarno Film Festival, which will take place from 7 to 17 August.
