Banita Sandhu, who recently appeared in the third season of Netflix’s 'Bridgerton', said that her debut in the highly-popular series is a stepping stone for getting more roles internationally as well as in Bollywood.

Sandhu, who played Miss Malhotra, has reportedly brought a fresh dynamic to the show, intriguing both eligible bachelors and viewers alike. Her presence in the season has garnered significant attention and sparked conversations among netizens.

In an interview with the Hindustan Times, Sandhu said: "Of course, it will open different avenues for me in Bollywood. In India, I haven’t had that glamorous role yet. I have had great opportunities in India irrespective of what I do in the West.” She emphasized her pride in her work in Indian cinema, particularly her performance in 'October'.

She hoped that her work in India will pave the way for more opportunities in Western cinema, saying, “The West is finally opening the eyes to international cinema. My work in India should open to opportunities in the West too.”

Known for her role in the Bollywood film 'October', Sandhu expressed a keen interest in exploring the comedic space, inspired by her admiration for the film 'Crew', which stars Kareena Kapoor Khan, Kriti Sanon, and Tabu. Many have told her that she possesses a natural comedic presence, and she is eager to bring that to the screen. She shared, “I recently watched 'Crew' and I loved it, so I think something of that sort would be cool to do for me next.”
