'Jai Hind': Bollywood hails Operation Sindoor

The film industry has reacted to India’s overnight strikes on terror camps in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) and parts of Pakistan under Operation Sindoor, with actors Riteish Deshmukh, Nimrat Kaur, and Kangana Ranaut hailing the Indian Army on social media.

“Jai Hind Ki Sena… Bharat Mata Ki Jai!!! #OperationSindoor," Deshmukh wrote, showing solidarity with the armed forces following the strike in response to the April 22 Pahalgam terror attack that killed 26.

Bhandarkar posted, “Our prayers are with our forces. One nation, together we stand. Jai Hind, Vande Mataram". While actress Nimrat Kaur wrote, "United with our forces. One country. One mission. #JaiHind  #OperationSindoor", Kangana Ranaut wrote, “Jo hamaari rakhsha karte hain, ishwar unki rakhsha kare (May God protect those who protect us). Wishing our forces safety and success #operationsindoor.”

Singer Adnan Sami, who was born in Pakistan and became an Indian citizen in 2016, has shown his support for ‘Operation Sindoor’. Taking to X, Adnan wrote, “Jai Hind!! #OperationSindoor"

Indian OTT platforms asked to pull Pak-origin content

India's Ministry of Information & Broadcasting has issued a notice to all streaming and OTT platforms in India related to content originating from Pakistan.

The official advisory from the government reads: "In the interest of national security, all OTT platforms, media streaming platforms and intermediaries operating in India are advised to discontinue the web-series, films, songs, podcasts and other streaming media content, whether made available on a subscription based model or otherwise, having its origins in Pakistan with immediate effect."
