With the ongoing COVID-19 situation, everyone is forced to stay indoors. Many of us are looking for ways to stay amused and upbeat, and there’s nothing better than watching films and series together with family during these days. Hence to keep yourself entertained and busy, here are new movies and shows that you can watch on Netflix, Amazon and Disney+ Hotstar.

Bhoot: Part One – The Haunted Ship: Released on Amazon Prime, Bhoot: Part One – The Haunted Ship marks Vicky Kaushal’s debut in the horror thriller genre. The actor plays a surveying officer in the film who is assigned to look into the case of an abandoned ship that mysteriously landed at the shores of Mumbai. The film also stars Bhumi Pednekar and Ashutosh Rana in key roles.

After Life season 2: Ricky Gervais’ dark Netflix comedy After Life is returning for six more episodes. After Life Season 2 sees all the characters from the first season return for a new plot with Tony (played by Gervais) trying to be a better person as he continues to deal with life without wife Lisa (Kerry Godliman). The trailer for the show also reveals that much of Season 2 will focus on a local amateur dramatic society putting on a play.

Extraction: The Chris Hemsworth starrer Extraction released on April 24 on Netflix and it also stars Indian stars Randeep Hooda and Pankaj Tripathi in lead roles. Chris Hemsworth, who plays Tyler Rake in the film, will be seen on a deadly mission to rescue the kidnapped son of an imprisoned international crime lord

Yours Sincerely: Kanan Gill’s Netflix stand-up comedy special released on April 24. In it, per Netflix, the 30-year-old comedian will “measure his adult life against the goals set in a letter written as a teen to his future self, with his “takeaways getting dark, yet oddly illuminating.” 

Joker: DC movie Joker starring Joaquin Phoenix is now streaming on Amazon Prime. Joker is anpsychological thriller film based on DC Comics characters. It provides a possible origin story for the character.

Bad Education released on Disney+Hotstar on April 26. Inspired by true events, Bad Education follows Frank Tassone and Pam Gluckin who reign over a popular Long Island school district on the verge of the nation’s top spot, spurring record college admissions and soaring property values. But when an embezzlement scheme surfaces that threatens to destroy all they’ve built, Frank is forced to maintain order and secrecy.
