GOPIO international team sworn-in with Lal Motwani as the New President

New York: The new team at Global Organization of People of Indian Origin (GOPIO) sworn-in on March 4 at a virtual ceremony with Lal Motwani as its president.

Motwani has been a Founder Life member of GOPIO since its inception in 1989. He was serving as the International Coordinator-at-Large and later as Executive Trustee of GOPIO Foundation in his last term.

Others sworn in at the ceremony include Umesh Chandra from Brisbane, Australia as Executive Vice President, Kewal Kanda from Los Angeles as Vice President, New Jersey businessman Prakash Shah as Global Ambassador and Jasbir ‘Nami’ Kaur as International Coordinator-at-Large.

Five more Regional International Coordinators were also sworn-in including Roger Latchman from Johannesburg, South Africa as Africa Coordinator, Deo Gosine as Caribbean Coordinator, Ashok Madan as North America Coordinator, Harmohan Singh Walia from Sydney, Australia as Oceania Coordinator and Dhiraj Ahuja in Delhi as the South Asia Coordinator.
