HubSpot’s Yamini Rangan tops Comparably’s “Best CEOs for Women” list

New York: This year, HubSpot’s Yamini Rangan ranked number one in Comparably’s “Best CEOs for Women” list among those at large companies.  

Rangan has 2031 employee ratings and a score of 92/100, placing them in the Top 5% of similar size companies on Comparably with 5,001-10,000 Employees and Top 5% of other companies in Boston. When breaking the CEO score down by factors such as department, gender, and ethnicity, males at HubSpot rate Yamini Rangan higher than non-binary employees, giving the CEO a score of 94/100.
Prior to becoming CEO, Rangan served as HubSpot’s first-ever Chief Customer Officer, overseeing the marketing, sales, and services teams.
A tech industry veteran, Rangan has more than 24 years of experience ranging from product marketing, sales, and strategy. She previously served as Chief Customer Officer at Dropbox, where she was responsible for embedding customer focus across the organization. Before Dropbox, she was VP of Sales Strategy and Operations at Workday, where she helped quadruple revenue and scaled the sales organization. At SAP, Rangan held several customer-facing leadership roles in strategy, pre-sales and value-based selling and helped close landmark deals.
She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, a Master’s in Computer Engineering, and an MBA from Berkeley. In 2019, Rangan was recognized as one of the Most Influential Women in Business by the San Francisco Business Times.
