IOC team meets with Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel

New York: The officials of the Indian Overseas Congress, USA, held a meeting with the visiting Chief Minister of Chhattisgarh Bhupesh Baghel in New York and congratulated him for the great comeback of the Congress Party in the 2018 election and for the innovative development plans that he has put in place. Baghel was on an official trip to the United States, showcasing Chhattisgarh and promoting the state for trade and investment.

A resource-rich state, it is a source of electricity and steel for the country, accounting for 15% of the total steel produced as well as a significant contributor of coal, Chhattisgarh is one of the fastest-developing states in India.

IOC leaders who participated in the meeting include Mohinder Singh Gilzian, president, George Abraham, vice-chairman, T.J. Gill, Sr. vice-president, Malini Shah, vice-president, Pradeep Samala, vice-president, Manoj Shinde, chairman IT Cell, Sophia Sharma, general secretary, Leela Maret, president, Kerala Chapter, Pavan Darisi, president, Andhra Pradesh Chapter, Rajeswara Reddy, president Telangana Chapter, Dr. Jayesh Patel, president, Gujarat Chapter, Thomas Mottackal, Rajeev.M and Pallav Shah who has accompanied the Chief Minister during his trip across USA.
