Lakme Fashion Week goes digital with season-fluid showcase

The most coveted fashion event, Lakme Fashion Week, was held digitally from Oct 21-25. 

The event was held on a specially created high-tech virtual platform. In a statement, Ashwath Swaminathan, Head of Innovations at Lakme said, “With the first-ever digital edition, Lakme Fashion Week  has reinvented to continue to enable the business of fashion, create new experiences for audiences and put the spotlight back on the future of fashion.”

Lakmé Fashion Week was a platform starring alluring styles, stunning collaborations and a plethora of emotions. Witnessing all the beautiful design movements for the Spring/Summer 2021 line through fashion films and virtual ramps, the show was an all-rounder from ethnic vibes to contemporary styles. Celebrities like Athiya Shetty, Mrunal Thakur made an impression walking down the virtual ramp.
LFW saw a change through lines incorporating zero-waste techniques, and also focusing on traditional Indian roots. It provided the perfect glimpse of what is to come.
