Let’s United as One Big Family

Indu Jaiswal

This year we are celebrating the 75th anniversary of India’s independence as “Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav.”  We want to congratulate Prime Minister Narendra Modi on this initiative. I also want to congratulate the Consul General of India in New York Randhir Jaiswal for organizing programs under the theme of representing states from all over India showcasing their dances, music, traditions, cuisines, etc.

On August 15, we saw Tiranga – the Indian tricolor on each building flying high as a symbol of success and unity. We are also seeing positive progress and development as part of the “Aatmanirbhar Bharat” campaign.

Fortunate are those who are born in free India. It is a solemn moment to remember all those thousands of men and women who laid their lives and thousands of mothers who sacrificed their sons and daughters to win freedom for India.

Let us celebrate India’s Independence Day by coming together and uniting against the odds as one big family.

On behalf of the Board of trustees and Members of Indian American Forum, we extend our warm wishes on the 76th India Independence Day.

Jai Hind!
