New York: On September 3, the Long Island Indo American Lions Club had an outdoor meeting in the backyard of one of the Lions Saurabh Seth’s house at Sayville, NY to honor the Front Line Heroes.
Meeting started at 7:00 pm and finished by 8:00 pm. It started with opening remarks by President Indu Gajwani and it was attended by 27 Lions Members and was also attended by District Governor Terri Oster and Past District Gov. Jose Pastrana.
New Members of Lions Club Harish Shahdadpuri, Mrs. Sonia Bathija, Mr. Samson, Mrs. Meena Gosalia, were inducted by District Governor and Past District Governor Jose Pastrana. Also Mrs. Prabha Golia, Uday Dommaraju, and Shibby Thomas became Lions Club members but they could not make it to the meeting.
President announced that in the pandemic $4000 were given to Sunrise Associates to help children with cancer. New projects were collecting old glasses for the needy people and doing food drives for the homeless and Hempstead Inn which will be done in October 2020 during Diwali time to do some kind gesture for the community.
Front Line Heroes were honored with plaques and the honorees were Dr. Sunil Mehra, Dr. Raj Bhayani, Dr. Vaijnath Chakote, Dr. Abhay Malhotra, Dr. Kalpesh Amin, Dr. Nand Panjwani, Dr. Mulchand Chugh, Mrs. Aparna Patel, Mrs. Mrudala Parikh, Dr.Govind
