Middlesex County recently received funding to address the opioid epidemic, helping to prevent overdose deaths and provide connections to care. For International Opioid Awareness Day, on August 31, the County seeks public input on the use of Opioid Settlement funds. To submit ideas, visit middlesexcountynj.gov/opioidinput. The public input period will run from August 31 to October 31.

The County is committed to using these funds to sustain and strengthen an ongoing response and leveraging innovative strategies to end the opioid overdose epidemic.

Middlesex County will periodically reopen the public input process, but don’t miss the opportunity to help impact the use of this crucial funding.

WHEN:  Saturday, August 31-Thursday, October 31

WHERE: Public input should be submitted at middlesexcountynj.gov/opioidinput

WHO: This money was provided to states and local governments from a lawsuit settlement between the federal government and pharmaceutical companies that contributed to the devastating opioid problem across the country. Funding must go toward helping individuals and communities through treatment, prevention, harm reduction, workforce development, and education.
