Make America great again in the spirit of Gandhi and King

Poem by Ambassador Sanjiv Arora

Let’s walk together to King Center and make America great again

Take a deep breath and introspect and make America great again

Oh, thee land of the free and the home of the brave

Life ain’t black or white, my friends, nor of any caste, creed, or race

All humans created equal, those who don’t believe are a disgrace

Enough blood on the floor, my friends, time to bond, heal and embrace

Let’s bond together at King Center and make America great again

Let’s heal together at King Center and make America great again

Wow that historic resolve of Lincoln, that cherished dream of King

Let’s resolve together at King Center and make America great again

Let’s dream together at King Center and make America great again

Thou art usually friendly guys saying hi, wow, howdy and awesome

Some folks though different everywhere—divisive, rowdy, and gruesome

Petty men spreading hatred, neither are they brave nor free

Beware the allure of demagogues and the spell of their fiery oratory

For they have harmed peoples and nations—as we must learn from history

Let’s reflect together at King Center and make America great again

Let’s learn together at King Center and make America great again

As you walk around the King Center, pause, and ponder in front of Gandhi

A frail man clad in hand spun, shook the mightiest empire of yore

Defied tyranny with a fistful of salt, as the world remembers from Dandi

Ahimsa and Satyagraha his message, as generations would revere and adore

King followed in Gandhi’s footsteps and their legacy will live forever

Were the change they wanted to see, what a noble message forever

Cherish and nurture their legacy, my friends, and make America great again

Sing Vaishnav Jan at King Center and make America great again

Let’s walk together to King Center and make America great again.
