Marathi Vishwa NJ kicks off 40th anniversary at Ganesh fest Sept 22

Hamilton, NJ- Marathi Vishwa, the NJ based organization Marathi organization is gearing up for their annual Ganesh celebrations on Saturday, September 22 at Montgomery High School, in Skillman NJ at 9am.

The celebration will be extra special this year as it marks the kick off of the 40th anniversary celebrations this year for the popular organization. Part of the festivities, will include two Marathi plays along with a special Maharashtrian dinner. The program will start with a special Ganesh puja at 9am followed by aarti and prasad.

Thousands of Marathi speaking families from all over NJ and the tri-state area will join in the celebration to mark the 40th anniversary which will also include a brief history of the organization and how its grown into a large social resource for Marathi speaking families.

We are so thrilled to reach 40! said Mrs. Shashikala Yande, who named the organization Marathi Vishwa 40 years ago in her home. Its hard to believe that something that was started with just a few people in my living room, is now a full fledged organization with thousands of members.

Part of Yandes personal celebration to mark the 40th anniversary of Marathi Vishwa was offering 40 special ladoos during the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations in their home.
