Mr Bagga donates 100,000 PPEs to County and City

Hicksville, NY: Global Interfaith Foundation, founded by real estate tycoon Darshan Singh Bagga, is donating 100,000 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to Nassau County and New York City for health and other frontline workers, as well as religious organizations, he announced at an intimate event Monday.  

“I am inspired by the founder of my faith, Guru Nanak Dev Ji, and Sikhs who believe in service to humanity,” Mr. Bagga said at the event in his Bagga Plaza II in Hicksville.

Nassau County Executive Laura Curran expressed gratefulness for Mr. Bagga’s generous act of sewa in these dark times.

Town of Oyster Bay Supervisor Saladino said the donation represented the Indian community’s love for everyone and ensuring the safety of health heroes and law enforcement heroes. He also presented a citation to Mr. Bagga in appreciation.      

Also participating in the event were Farrah Mozawalla, Director of Nassau County Office of Asian American Affairs, Dr. Isma Chaudhry, President of Islamic Center of Long Island, and Indu Jaiswal, well-known community leader.
