No danger to minorities in India: RSS

New Delhi: RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat said the Sangh poses no danger to the minorities in India.

Speaking at the RSS Dussehra rally in Nagpur, Bhagwat said that some indulge in “scare-mongering” to show that the so-called minorities are in danger because of us or “organized Hindus”.

“This has not happened in the past, nor will it happen in future. This is neither the nature of the Sangh nor of the Hindus, history bears this out,” he asserted.

The RSS chief said the Sangh resolves to stand on the side of “brotherhood, amity, and peace.”

Bhagwat’s statement comes days after he met with Muslim intellectuals and a cleric during his visit to a mosque in Delhi.

The RSS chief also said the concept of “Hindu Rashtra” is being taken seriously. “Now, when the Sangh is receiving the affection and confidence of people and also has become strong, the concept of Hindu Rashtra is being taken seriously,” he said.
