New Jersey: OHMKara, a cultural organization in the United States with the mission of promoting Indian culture, heritage and art across the world via musical concerts from renowned young and veteran singers and musicians from India is organizing Gujarati music and cultural festival ‘Swarotsav’ across major US cities in March-April 2020.
Conceptualized by versatile poet, writer and orator Dr. Ankit Trivedi, the first edition of Swarotsav was organized in Ahmedabad in 2017 followed by 2018, 2019 and is planned again in February 2020.
The three-day fest has attracted music and literature lovers from all over Gujarat where more than 50 artists performing and thousands attending.
Trivedi has successfully collaborated Gujarati music concerts with OHMkara in the US, Dubai and Muscat from 2014-2017.
Under the banner of Swarotsav, a unique musical evening is designed especially for the US tour in 2020. It will be a kaleidoscope of Sugam Sangeet, Lok Sangeet, Bhakti Sangeet, Dayro and humor. It will blend talents from different fields of music, poetry and literature.
The talented and versatile team under the leadership of Poet Dr. Ankit Trivedi will include renowned singers like Kirtidan Gadhvi, Mrudula Desai, Gargi Vora and Dhruvish Shah along with renowned and talented musicians Mayur Dave, Ritesh Upadhyaya, Manishi Raval, Manish Kansara and Dilip Mehta.
Established in 2013, OHMKara has organized musical concerts in 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 in 10 states in 18 cities in the US. The musical concerts “Samanavay” in 2014, “Avinashi Avinash” in 2015, and “Mor Bani Thangaat Kare” in 2016, and “Gujarati Jalso” in 2017 promoted Gujarati music and literature outside of India including Muscat, Oman and Dubai, U.A.E.
