Ohmkara’s ‘Sapta Sur’ celebrates Gujarat Day with local talents

Ohmkara, a cultural organization established in 2013 to promote cultural awareness through entertainment and promote music, language and heritage across the world organized Sapta Sur – a Gujarati and Hindi musical & dance concert with more than 20 local talented singers and dancers under one roof on April 30, 2022, at Balaji Temple Auditorium in Bridgewater, NJ.  The program was a collaboration with the largest seniors’ organization in North America – FISANA. 

The evening was a mega concert of Gujarati and Bollywood songs of various singers and actors, actresses, music composers and writers from seven decades in a state-of-the-art auditorium with wonderfully choreographed dance performances by Deepa Bhandari & her talented dance group.  More than 45 Bollywood songs in Sapta Sur were sung by talented singers from the tri-state area and applauded by more than 400 attendees from all walks of life.  The event was anchored by Madhavi Bathula and Nishil Parikh of Ohmkara in a unique way which too was well received by the attendees. 

 Sapta Sur was a collaboration with the largest seniors’ organization of North America – FISANA.  In his address, chairman, Dipak Shah provided details of FISANA and appreciated Ohmkara’s efforts in promoting local talents.  FISANA president Ratilal Patel appreciated all umbrella organizations for their support.  The program ended with delicious dinner catered by Balaji Temple kitchen which was enjoyed by all participants.
