New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi PM Modi tops the list of Indian Express 100 Most Powerful Indians followed by Union Home Minister Amit Shah and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat in second and third positions.
As the PM now for eight years, Modi remains disruptor-in-chief with a regularity that expands his presence and crimps his critics. Be it the vaccination program after the brutal second wave or, most recently, the airlift of over 22,000 young Indians from Europe, the PM has come to stand as the veritable Prime Mover.
PM Modi is followed by Home Minister Amit Shah and RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat in second and third position in the list while BJP president JP Nadda holds the fourth position. Mukesh Ambani, the richest Indian with a net worth of over $96 Billion, stands at the 5th position.
In the sixth position is Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath, who steered the BJP to a second consecutive term in the recently held assembly election in the state. Businessman Gautam Adani is in the seventh position. National Security Advisor Ajit Doval holds the eighth position followed by Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal and Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman in the ninth and tenth positions.
