Mandakini Patel and a few devotees organized Rameswaram Shiv Pujan at Long Island beach on September 17. Keeping in with the pandemic restrictions a close group of 15 devotees attended the Puja with complete safety measures in place. “First we had puja of Shivling chanting ‘Om Namah Shivay’ and Maha Mrutyunjay Mandra followed by Samuh Pitru Pujan, Tarpan, Aarati and Mahaprasad Langar at picnic area of beach cooked by all devotees. We had a very divine feeling. We also prayed that this pandemic be over soon and people world over share hope, health and happiness,” says Patel.
