Real estate home sales boom in Nassau County

Nassau County Executive Laura Curran and Douglas Elliman CEO Dottie Herman  discussed a boom in real estate on Long Island, as many New York City residents are becoming attracted to residing full-time in Nassau County.   According to recent reports, the number of pending home sales spiked by over 60% in Nassau County in July, after pent-up demand from COVID-19 restrictions and the appeal of a suburban lifestyle has become more attractive to former city residents. Real Estate and government officials discussed how Nassau County is preparing for the influx of new residents in a press conference on September 8, 2020.
