Registration for the Middlesex County Department of Community Services annual Senior Health and Fitness Walk is now open. The walk will take place at the Countys Roosevelt Park in Edison on Wednesday, Sept. 26 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Registration is free, but required. The deadline to register is September 10, 2018.
The Walk has so many great opportunities for our seniors: to meet new people, to enjoy a beautiful County park, to exercise and to receive free health screenings, said Freeholder Blanquita B. Valenti, Chair of the Countys Community Services Committee. Be sure to register now for this popular event. Freeholder Director Ronald G. Rios added: The Board of Chosen Freeholders is dedicated to providing fun activities for our seniors that promote togetherness and good health. The free health screenings and information are just as important as the walk, and its a great opportunity to improve some habits and maintain your healthy habits.
Free health screenings and wellness information will again be available at the event. Boxed lunches will follow the walk. There also will be raffles and free entertainment.
