Chief Minister M K Stalin was scheduled to attend the FeTNA Convention in person but due to unavoidable official work, he addressed the meeting online. He commended FeTNA’s efforts to recognize the literary contributions made by scholars by conferring the Ulaga Tamil Peeda Virudhu. Poet Erode Tamilanban received the award for the year. Chief Minister congratulated the poet and also gifted him a house under the state’s scheme for honoring the writers. His address witnessed the commitment of the current government to inviting and involving the diaspora in the state’s growth and development. In his speech, he also acknowledged that at a time where divisible forces seem to play havoc in our lives, the love for language is powerful enough to unite us all.
