As we celebrate India's 76th Republic Day, I would like to take this opportunity to extend my warm greetings to all readers of The South Asian Times and I also congratulate the team of The South Asian Times for the continued work to promote Indian culture and tradition in the USA. Since India has become a Republic in 1950, the country has made enormous strides in all frontiers of human endeavour. However, we still have many challenges to confront.
The Indian community based in United States is a strong pillar of the Republic. It has contributed significantly in the development of India as well as in enriching India-US ties. You are the pride of our nation and I look forward to working very closely with you to bring the Indian Consulate close to you. I believe that the Consulate is part of the Community and there should be strong bonds tying us together. I commend the role of The South Asian Times for being a bridge to the Community.
I, once again, extend my greetings to the The South Asian Times on the occasion of India's 76th Republic Day and wish a very successful year ahead with its future endeavours, supporting community initiatives and promoting India's culture in the spirit of unity in diversity.
