TSAT cartoonist Mahendra Shah’s painting to be auctioned at JAINA Convention 2021

New York: The South Asian Times cartoonist Mahendra Shah’s live painting of Lord Mahavira will be auctioned during the 21st biennial convention organized virtually this time by the Federation of Jain Associations in North America (JAINA) to be held from July 1-6.  

A self-trained artist, Shah will be showcasing his art presentation in the form of an Art Gallery tour, Jain and Indian paintings slide show and concluding with live acrylic painting on a 3’x4′ board to be silent auctioned for the benefit of JAINA with starting bid price of $1000.

A qualified architect, successful entrepreneur and businessman for years, Shah has exhibited his paintings and cartoons all over including India, USA, Europe, cruises etc. as well as published in several weekly, monthly publications. With more than 7000 followers on social media he has published two sold out cartoon books. 

Shah is a resident artist among Indian community of Pittsburgh and commissioned every year to make a 20′ tall effigy of Ravan for Dasehra celebration by the local Hindu Jain Temple. Also, keen on architectural renderings. Friends love to have framed house renderings of their new homes as gifts by Shah for housewarming parties.
