After Taapsee Pannu, actress Vidya Balan shared that she has resumed shooting amid the ongoing Covid pandemic.
Vidya took to Instagram Stories and posted a picture that shows her sitting in a vanity van. She sits with her crew while getting her make-up done. The crew members took proper safety precautions, wearing PPE suits and masks.
Recently, Vidya turned producer when she co-produced the self-starring short film, “Nathkat”, which addresses patriarchy and toxic masculinity. The film had its world premiere at the We Are One: A Global Film Festival on June 2.
Shakuntala Devi focuses on the fascinating life of Devi who was hailed as a “Human Computer” for her ability to crack complex equations at breakneck speed. Balan was thrilled to play a character who “was a true blue feminist and way ahead of her time. She lived life exactly the way she wanted to irrespective of what they called her.”
Also starring Sanya Malhotra, Amit Sadh and Jisshu Sengupta, the Anu Menon-directed drama shines a light on a woman whose genius built people’s curiosity in her.
