India celebrated its 75th Republic Day January 26 with French President Emmanuel Macron as the chief guest. The official program commenced at the Kartavya Path after President Droupadi Murmu unfurled the tricolor, followed by the national anthem.
President Joe Biden wished India on its Republic Day. “I congratulate the people of India on India’s Republic Day. The Constitution of India continues to provide an enduring framework for the world’s largest democracy and a foundation for its global leadership,” he said in a statement released by the state department.
