Jaishankar honors Acharya Lokesh with ‘Global Jain Peace Ambassador’ Award

Hubli: External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar bestowed Acharya Lokesh, the Founder of Ahimsa Vishwa Bharti and World Peace Center, with the Global Jain Peace Ambassador Award on February 28. The honor has been conferred on him for making India and Jainism proud at the global level and for his tireless efforts towards world peace.

Dr. S. Jaishankar, in his inaugural address, said that as we are entering the Amrit Kaal, the foundation stone of a new India is being laid across the country. Congratulating Acharya Lokesh ji for the “Global Jain Peace Ambassador Award”, he said that Acharya Shri is doing inspiring work for education, health and world peace. He expressed confidence that India’s great heritage Ayurveda will also reach the global level through AGM Ayurvedic Medical College.

Union Parliamentary Affairs, Coal and Mines Minister Pralhad Joshi said in his statement that Acharya Gunadharanandi is the pride of Karnataka who has made education and health a mission, people will get education and health benefits here with great service.

Acharya Shri Gunadharnandi Ji Maharaj, founder of Navgraha Tirtha, said that Acharya Lokesh has increased the pride of India and Jainism on the global stage and his efforts towards world peace are highly commendable. He expressed happiness that the inauguration of AGM Ayurvedic Medical College and the Bhoomi Pujan of AGM Engineering College are being done by the hands of the MEA and in next year there will be a grand event of Mahamastakabhisheka of the 61 feet statue of Lord Parshvanath.

While receiving the “Global Jain Peace Ambassador” award, Acharya Lokesh said that the responsibility has increased with this honor received from the MEA Jaishankar and Pujya Acharya Ji.
