I wish all of you a joyous holiday season and a Happy New Year. As we enter the new year, it is a good time to think about our most important goals. Many of us think about improving our physical health, our relationships, our education and career goals, and other activities in life. However, there is one goal in which, if we make improvements, it will provide benefits to all other areas of our life. Making progress in meditation enriches all endeavors relating to our body and mind. Yet, it also has an added benefit in that it helps us achieve our spiritual goals of life, which is to know our self as soul and realize God.
For this reason, the slogan for the new year is:
Meditate more
In 2024.
Medical research shows that meditation can help us physically by reducing stress-related illnesses. It can help our mind and intellect by making us more focused, concentrated, and productive whether in our studies or work or anything in which we engage. It can help us emotionally by connecting us with a source of godly love within us. By helping us become calm and peaceful, meditation improves our relationships. Yet most of all, it helps us spiritually.
Meditation on the inner Light and Sound opens up the gateway to journey into spiritual realms within., By doing so, we can achieve self- knowledge that our true self is our soul. As the soul connects with the Light and Sound within, we can travel on the inner journey where our soul can attain union with the Divine. This leads to our achieving permanent peace, lasting happiness, bliss, and divine love.
As we face the outer challenges of life, meditation on the inner Light and Sound provides us an inner sanctuary of peace where we can go and be renewed and refreshed. The tranquility and joy we gain through meditation helps us deal with life’s difficulties in a calmer, more balanced way. If we put into practice these four words, “Meditate more in 2024” we will find that the new year will bring us a happier year ahead.
