Priyanka Chopra announces next Hollywood film ‘The Bluff’

Priyanka Chopra has announced her next international project, ‘The Bluff’, which will be directed by filmmaker Frank E Flowers. Priyanka will reportedly share the screen space with Hollywood actor Karl Urban who is known for his web series ‘The Boys’. Her ‘Citadel’ partners, Russo brothers, are producing the film.

Taking to Instagram, Priyanka shared a screenshot of the Deadline article and shared, “Now and then we had a hope that if we lived and were good, God would permit us to be pirates. -Mark Twain.” The Matrix actress also tagged Karl Urban, Frank Flowers, The Russo Brothers, AGBO Films that will back the project and Head of Amazon Studios Jennifer Nicholson Salke.

‘The Bluff’ will be Flowers’ directorial outing after he rose to fame after co-writing this year’s hit film Bob Marley: One Love. This will be Priyanka’s second project with The Russo Brothers after she starred in their Amazon Original series Citadel. However, in 2021, it was reported that Zoe Saldana would be headlining the film.

As per Deadline, The Bluff’s plot is set in the 19th-century Caribbean and follows the story of a former female pirate, which will be portrayed by Priyanka. In the film, the character then embarks on a journey to protect her family when the mysterious sins of her past catch up to her. The makers are planning to begin the film’s shoot in Australia. The film will be produced by AGBO’s Anthony Russo, Joe Russo, Angela Russo-Otstot, and Michael Disco, Cisely Saldana of Cinestar Pictures and Mariel Saldana.

Priyanka has a pretty impressive line up for 2024. Apart from ‘The Bluff’, she’ll be seen in ‘Heads of State’ with John Cena and Idris Elba. She is also looking forward to the second season of ‘Citadel’. She is also expected to make her Bollywood comeback Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Jee Le Zara’ with Alia Bhatt and Katrina Kaif.
