Zuckerberg, Rihanna and Bill Gates among guests at Ambani’s lavish bash
Anant Ambani and his wife-to-be Radhika Merchant’s three day extravaganza saw Bollywood royalty rubbing shoulders with tech billionaires, sports superstars and even Donald Trump’s daughter, Ivanka.
The highlight was pop star Rihanna’s first ever performance in India, for which she was rumored to have been paid somewhere in the range of $7million.
Tech executives including Mark Zuckerberg and Bill Gates attended a lavish three-day pre-wedding celebration for the son of Indian billionaire Mukesh Ambani, Asia’s richest man.
The bash was held to celebrate the upcoming marriage of Anant Ambani, the youngest of Mukesh Ambani’s sons, to Radhika Merchant, scheduled for later this year. The celebration, which took place in Jamnagar city in the Indian state of Gujarat, was a star-studded event with Bollywood royalty such as Shah Rukh Khan, Salman Khan, Aamir Khan also in attendance.
Anant is the youngest son of Nita Ambani and Reliance Chairman Mukesh Ambani. Radhika is the daughter of Viren Merchant, the CEO of Encore Healthcare Private Limited, and Shaila Merchant.
All eyes are now likely to be on the wedding, which is due to be held in Mumbai in July.
