New Delhi: With India all set to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the enactment of the Constitution on 26 January, tableaux of 16 States/Union Territories (UTs) and 10 Ministries/ Departments of the Union Government will be showcased during the 76th Republic Day Parade at Delhi's Kartavya Path.
Additionally, 43 tableaux, including those from the main parade, will be displayed during Bharat Parv from January 26 to 31, 2025, at the Red Fort.
The tableaux will be part of the broad theme of ‘Swarnim Bharat: Virasat Aur Vikas’ and showcase India’s diverse strengths and its constantly evolving cultural inclusiveness marching into a glorious future.
According to the Ministry of Defense, the 76th Republic Day Parade will feature a 160-member marching contingent and a 190-member band from Indonesia, joining Indian Armed Forces contingents on Kartavya Path.
The Karnataka float will showcase the Chaturmukha Brahma statue and replicas of key Jain and Hindu temples, including the Brahma Jinalaya Temple, the oldest Jain shrine in Lakkundi, believed to have been built in the early 11th century.
The Uttar Pradesh tableau will showcase the Maha Kumbh and is themed ‘Maha Kumbh 2025: Golden India—Heritage and Development'. Madhya Pradesh’s tableau for the function will have the ambitious cheetah reintroduction project as its theme. ‘Cheetah -The Pride of India’, will showcase (dummies of) more than 10 cursorial animals with a couple in a natural habitat,” officials said.
Gujarat's tableau, themed "From Anartpur to Ektanagar - A Confluence of Heritage and Development" has the 12th-century Solanki-era 'Kirti Toran' of Vadnagar placed alongside the towering 'Statue of Unity', the world's tallest 182-meter statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, displaying its "historical legacy alongside contemporary achievements", an official release said.
Bihar's tableau will showcase the rich cultural heritage and legacy of the state, like the revival of ancient Nalanda University, and the UNESCO heritage Mahabodhi Temple of Bodhgaya.
