New Delhi: Enabling India to say its piece and share its thoughts on a global stage, the three-day whirlwind US trip by Prime Minister Narendra Modi saw him participating in a slew of events — including the Quad Leaders' meeting, an overwhelming Indian community event and also the Summit of the Future at the UN General Assembly.

Despite being brief, the visit resulted in very significant outcomes in the bilateral, in unilateral, and in multilateral domains. After concluding the visit, PM Modi said it has been a “fruitful US visit”, covering diverse programs and focusing on a series of subjects aimed at making our planet better.

According to the White House, President Joe Biden and PM Modi agreed to drive new AI innovation opportunities, enhance research and development collaboration on advanced semiconductor processors, and increase support for India's National Quantum Mission. The Summit of the Future adopted a Pact for the Future committing the world leaders to an action plan to meet the challenges facing the world and the UN and it called for speeding up the Security Council reform process.

“Success of humanity lies in our collective strength, not in the battlefield. For global peace and development, reforms in global institutions are important. Reform is the key to relevance,” he noted.

After Quad’s meeting in Wilmington, Delaware, PM Modi reached New York to address a mega gathering of Indian Americans at the Nassau Coliseum. Terming India as a "land of opportunities", Modi told them that he has set very ambitious goals for the country during his third term. “India's priority is not to increase its pressure in the world but to increase its impact. 'Hum aag ki tarah jalaane waale nahin, Suraj ki kiran ki tarah roshani dene waale hain'. We don't want our supremacy in the world, but to increase cooperation in the prosperity of the world.”

Later, Prime Minister Modi participated in a ‘fruitful’ roundtable with the CEOs of leading American tech companies where he emphasized India’s growth prospects and discussed initiatives to foster bilateral collaborations across various sectors.
